Income Jurisdiction

Your income jurisdiction is the borough of Royalton not Middletown. Please inform your employer.

Per Capita Taxes

Per capita taxes are collected in Royalton borough and mailed to all adult residents 18-72 years of age to be received on or about July 1 of each year, due December of that year. A per capita tax is a flat rate tax equally levied on All adult residents. It is not dependent on employment.


Utilities and Services

Refuse (garbage)

Garbage is picked up curb side Monday mornings by Republic Services. If you have a complaint with your refuse service, you may call them directly at 717-845-1557 or 1-800-210-9675.

Services Provided

The borough will be supplying your residence with electric, refuse, sewer and water services. Billings for utilities are mailed to be received on the first of each month. Water readings are taken quarterly.


Permits and Construction

Permits

The borough has incorporated the Uniform Construction Codes. Any questions with regard to building permits, maintenance, etc. Should be directed to the borough office at 717-944-4831.


Problems or Emergencies

Non-emergencies- monday thru friday 8:30-4:30 may be called in to the Borough Office at 717-944-4831.

Electric or water problem: if you have an electrical or water problem during hours the borough office is closed, please call 717-689-0288 and leave a message for Borough personnel. You can also check the Borough’s Facebook page for outage information.


Government and Meetings

Council Meetings

The borough council meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.

Authority meetings: the borough authority meets bi-monthly on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Meetings begin at 5:00pm.

Planning commission and zoning hearing board meetings: held as needed.

Senior Services

Royalton Senior Center

The senior center is located in the rear of the Borough Hall. The center is open Tuesday, Wednesday, and the 2nd & 4th Thursday from 10:00-2:00. Days and hours subject to change.
