Most of these heaters use 1500 watts at high heat which is 1.5 kilowatts (kW). If let on for the entire day, it would use 1.5 kW x 24 hours = 36 kilowatt-hours (kWh). If they run for the entire month, it would use 36 kWh x 30 days = 1080 kWh per month which would be more than double the usage for a lot of residences. If used one-half of the time, it would us 0.5 x 1080 kWh or 540 kWh. The cost of a residential cost adjusted rate of $0.13/kWh for example x 540 kWh = $70.20/kWh per month based on using it one-half of the hours of each day.
